The Duncan Group, an independent film and television production company based in America's heartland, is a team of documentary and feature filmmakers with a background in broadcast journalism, environmental issues, history, adventure, and social issue programming.

The Duncan Group has a strong background in international documentary production including numerous assignments in the developing world. The company has done extensive work in wilderness locations in all seasons and climates.

A common thread among the people working at The Duncan Group is a love of the natural world as well as a passion for documenting (and when possible, helping to preserve) the unique cultural and spiritual diversity of the developing world. The staff shares strong ideals about the impact of our work both domestically and abroad. When shooting documentaries, we work in very small crews and with as little equipment as possible. We specialize in using natural light. It is our goal on virtually every shoot to document our subject with as little outside influence or manipulation as possible.

The Duncan Group has also done extensive work in the USA including various national parks and forests, the Great Lakes, states such as Iowa, Wisconsin, North Carolina, Colorado, Arizona, New Mexico, Wyoming and Utah as well as numerous wilderness shoots in Alaska (including extensive production during winter).
