These images were taken in Darfur, Sudan. Darfur is engulfed in a crisis that has left more than two million people displaced from their homes. It's estimated that more than 200,000 people have died as a result of the crisis. Some world leaders have referred to the crisis in Darfur as "genocide." Others have called it a "civil war." Regardless of what it's called, the situation in Darfur is one in which the needs are many and the cry for help must be heard. The worldwide community of NGOs, including groups such as the not-for-profit Relief International, are working in Darfur to provide humanitarian relief.
