An in-depth look at the spiritual practice of Vodou (voodoo) and its West African and Catholic roots. The film includes extensive footage of Vodou rituals in remote parts of Haiti as well as interviews with Haitian scholar Liza McAlister and Lolo and Mimerose Beaubrun of the acclaimed Haitian band, Boukman Experience.

Dance of the Spirits is part of the MYSTIC LANDS series. It delves extensively into the spiritual practice of vodou and features extensive interviews with both scholars and practitioners.
