The Music of Prayer In America

The original music score for the public television special Prayer In America was composed and performed by Peter Buffett. Peter has done extensive work as a film composer and performer including his national touring stage production of Spirit. He has worked with The Duncan Group previously on the score for Wisconsin: An American Portrait and Rafting Alaska's Wildest Rivers. Buffett's work as a songwriter is extensive and his recent cds are available in The Duncan Group company store.

In addition to the original score, The Duncan Group recorded two songs for the production. AMAZING GRACE was recorded at JSM Studios in New York and is performed by Gary Brown (sax) and Davell Crawford (piano). The spiritual LAY THIS BODY DOWN was produced by John Sieger and recorded at Burst Collective in Milwaukee. It features an arrangement and performance by The Masonic Wonders.
