Duncan's
regular topics include:
1) Humanitarian Crisis Zones - Duncan has filmed extensively
in both manmade and natural disaster zones including Afghanistan
(2005), Pakistan (2006) and Darfur, Sudan (2008). Speaking engagements
include a variety of film clips and still photos from the regions.
Based on the recent publication of his book ENOUGH TO GO AROUND
- SEARCHING FOR HOPE IN AFGHANISTAN, PAKISTAN & DARFUR (Select
Books, NYC, Oct. 2009), Duncan engages audiences in a variety of
topics including the history of each conflict, stereotyping, weapons
of mass destruction, humanitarian relief agencies and the work of
Relief International, and the Andean spiritual concept of Ayni.
Duncan's speaking engagements have taken him from coast to coast
in the U.S. with numerous adult and student audiences. Video and
slide show often included.

The life and work of C.S. Lewis - Speaking engagements generally
include video excerpts from The Duncan Group production of The Magic
Never Ends - The Life & Work of C.S. Lewis (PBS, 2002) as well
as readings from the companion book (Augsburg Fortress Publications).
Duncan also includes significant discussion on the long time friendship
between Lewis and author J.R.R. Tolkien.

Environmental issues in Alaska, northwest Canada - Duncan's
Alaska and western Canada filmmaking experience includes documenting
issues surrounding development of the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge
in northern Alaska as well as the impact on climate change in the
St. Elias Mountains. Engagements include video excerpts from Rafting
Alaska's Wildest Rivers (PBS, 2001) and an upcoming public television
film on climate change.

Spiritual places of the world - Engagements include excerpts
from The Duncan Group production of Mystic Lands, a 13 part series
produced in association with TLC/Discovery Network. Duncan's particular
expertise includes an emphasis on the Inca traditions of Peru's
Machu Picchu and the sacred valley. Duncan has led 5 trips on the
Inca Trail and has a significant still photo collection to accompany
video clips. Duncan also speaks occasionally on Myanmar, Bhutan
and India. In some cases, Duncan includes clips from the 2008 public
television production PRAYER IN AMERICA.
