NUSHKA
T. DOG
Born in 1992, Nushka T. Dog never finished
high school. She dropped out after just a few weeks of puppy
training in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin during the mid 1990s. Later
that year, Nuska moved to Milwaukee and established a permanent
residency in an upper flat on the near east side. Today, Nushka
makes her home in the fashionable western suburbs on approximately
one acre of partially wooded land.
In November, 2004, after sheparding two children
through their toddler years, Nushka began a full time career
as the staff dog at The Duncan Group. Today, Nushka spends
more than 40 hours each week sleeping, raiding the garbage
bins, barking at the postal carrier (but not the fed x guy),
begging for walks, and shedding dog hair for visitors who
arrive wearing dark suits.
When not at work, Nushka can be found at home
sleeping, raiding garbage bins, barking at postal carriers,
begging for walks, and shedding dog hair for visitors who
arrive for dinner parties wearing black outfits of any kind.
Her hobbies include fetching, rolling around on dead animal
carcasses and old poop in the backyard, farting at inappropriate
moments, and snatching table scraps when no one is looking.
A dog of few words, the following is a brief interview with
Nushka:
1) What inspires you most about your work on documentary
films? Nothing, really. I'm generally uninspired unless
there is food involved.
2) Name three things you think would make
the world a better place? More food. More free time. More
time to sleep.
3) If you could recommend just one book
to visitors to the DuncanEntertainment.com web site, what
would it be and why? White Fang by Jack London
because it's about everything I am not.
4) Who is the world leader you find most
inspiring and why? George Bush. On all those crazy b-roll
shots where he walks off the helicopter onto the White House
lawn with the family dog in tow, he throws a tennis ball even
farther than any Bill Clinton.
5) During your time working with The Duncan
Group, what experiences have you found most rewarding?
I generally prefer it when everyone is gone except our intern.
It's then that I have the most freedom to search and destroy
and eat things out of wastebaskets that make me sick later
on.
6) What is your favorite Duncan Group production
and why? It might get me fired, but I really think documentaries
are boring. I picked up the South Park dvd series which is
great, loved Wet Hot American Summer and Dodge Ball, and I
never miss an episode of CSI Miami (CSI New York sucks). I
prefer Letterman to Leno and CNN to Fox News (I actually like
my news fair and balanced!). And nothing beats The Daily Show.
7) Ok, but have you ever seen a Duncan
Group production? No. Do you want to? No. Do
you care where your next meal comes from? No, as long
as I get it on time. I'm a dog.
8) Favorite Dog Movie? There are so
many good ones. But I guess I'd have to say it's a tie between
My Dog Skip, My Life as a Dog and A Boy and his Dog. Beethoven
was just silly and Lassie? Give me a break. Who's got time
to save people every day?
